Is Stuffing Suitable For Vegans?

Yes, vegans can eat stuffing and I do regularly. But is every type of stuffing suitable for vegans?

No, you can’t just pick up any stuffing you see and expect it to be meat, dairy and egg free.

Why Are Some Types Of Stuffing Not Suitable For Vegans?

It’s actually quite common for stuffing to be made using meat, such as sausage meat, eggs to bind the mixture together and it’s also possible to find butter in it to give it a creamy taste.

So, there are plenty of things for us vegans to look out for when it comes to stuffing.

Where To Buy Vegan Stuffing?

Even though not all types of stuffing are plant-based it’s still pretty easy to vegan stuffing in your local supermarket or online.

What Is Vegan Stuffing Made Of?

It can be pretty simple or super fancy just like regular stuffing but it will always be without meat, eggs, and dairy.

The most common ingredients you’ll find in plant stuffing are breadcrumbs, onions, croutons, garlic, sage, thyme, parsley, celery, salt, pepper and olive oil. Of course, each recipe will vary.

What’s The Best Vegan Stuffing Recipe?

Well, as I often say, I do like cooking but as my process has no rhyme or reason I can’t share recipes. But there are some folk out there making incredible vegan recipes. So, here are two amazing-looking recipes stuffing I found. Both vegan of course!

What’s The Best Vegan Stuffing?

That’s not a simple question because it depends if you’re looking for something simple like sage and onion or if you want an option with a bit more going on.

Or maybe you like a dry and crispy stuffing or possibly you’re in search of a more soft and moist (yes, I said it) style stuffing.

But at the moment my favourite is Herby Hug’s Vegan Sausage & Sage Stunnin’. It’s simple to make and tastes great with my gravy dinner.

Conclusion
