Topic chocolate bars are made by Mars and have been around since 1962. They were a childhood favourite for many, actually, I wasn’t mad about them as a kid, but as I got a bit older I did learn to appreciate the mixture of nougat, caramel and hazelnut.

Are Topic Bars Vegan?
No regular Topic bars are not vegan, sadly they are made using milk chocolate. Or should I say they weren’t vegan because back in 2022 a change was made. After being around for such a long time, regular Topic bars were discontinued by Mars. So, regular Topic bars are no longer made. But what about vegan ones??
Do Vegan Topic Bars Exist?
Yes, vegan Topic bars exist. Interestingly, regular Topic bars were taken off the market. But vegan ones stayed around. That sounds like good news to me.
However, if you’re actually looking for something that resembles the original bar, that’s not what the Topic vegan chocolate bar offers. Original Topic bars had a similar shape and size as Mars bars and Snickers bars but this one is a large chocolate that you break into squares. And it doesn’t have any caramel or nougat.

Are Vegan Topic Bars Any Good?
Despite the fact that they aren’t like the original Topic bar, and I don’t mean the flavour is a little different, the whole structure is unrecognisable, I still like them. And that’s because I’m a fan of chocolate and nuts together. The chocolate is made with hazelnut paste so the flavour is smooth and nutty.
Should You Run Out And Search High And Low To Get Your Hands On One?
Nope, I really don’t think you should, they’re nice, but nothing extra special. There are so many wonderful choices out there when it comes to vegan chocolate these days.

- LoveRaw Cre&m Wafer Bars– Vegan White Chocolate – It’s pretty sweet and tastes a lot like a white Kinder Bueno.
- Monty Bojangles Vegan Tower – Okay, I know it’s not a chocolate bar but these vegan truffles are too good, they have to be mentioned! Seriously, once you’ve tasted one you’ll be thanking me!
