Where to Buy Vegan Yorkshire Puddings in the UK in 2023?

There’s no doubt that a delicious Yorkshire pudding, fluffy yet crispy, is the perfect addition to any Sunday dinner. If you want to buy vegan Yorkshire puddings in the UK in 2023, you’re in the right place, I’m here to tell you it’s possible and let you know where to find them.

You must be here because you don’t really want to make your own, you want to find somewhere to buy vegan Yorkshire puddings. Well, me too! Sometimes ready-made is what we need.

But if you do want a pre-made vegan Yorkshire pudding mix keep reading because I’ll give you some info on that too. And I’ve also linked to a few recipes below for those who fancy giving it a go themselves.

But let’s get back to ready-made vegan Yorkshire puddings…

Sadly for any of you who do not know, regular Yorkshire puddings are not vegan-friendly. They usually contain both egg and milk. That makes them fine for vegetarians but not us vegan folk. 

But… it’s okay, the times they are a-changin’, and it’s now possible to get your hands on ready-made vegan Yorkshire puddings

Apart from some small, local independent stores, you can only buy vegan Yorkshire puddings online at the moment, I always take a look when I’m wandering around the supermarket, but I still haven’t found any vegan Yorkshire pudding in Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s or any other major supermarket in the UK.

I’ve been hearing the question ‘Where can I buy Yorkshire puddings?‘ a lot lately and the simple answer is you can only really buy them online.

It’s not easy to find them in the supermarket, I’ve only found out there are a few small independent-style shops around the country that have vegan Yorkshire puddings to buy in-store. But as for the bigger supermarkets, no luck yet.

No, you can’t exactly buy vegan Yorkshire Pudding at Tesco but if you know me, you know I always find a solution. You can buy dairy-free Tesco Free From Batter Mix. This mix from Tesco can make dairy-free Yorkshire Puddings.

The description says ‘Just the right ingredients for fluffy Yorkshire puddings and pancakes.’ Which is great for me, I love both Yorkies and pancakes!

Plantside is a fully vegan restaurant and catering company in Somerset that sells frozen vegan Yorkshire Puddings. It seems that people loved their vegan Yorkshire puddings so much that they are now available online…

According to Plantside’s website, they also have a small selection of stockists around the country, maybe you’re lucky enough to live near one, take a look:

You can even sign up for a monthly subscription to make sure you never miss out on some Yorkie pud goodness. Their website says you can gobble them the day you get them otherwise pop them in the freezer and they’re good for 5 months. If you want to get some Mabel’s vegan Yorkshire puddings you can order them on their website. 

Now, this isn’t strictly a Yorkshire pudding…but it kind of is….and to some, it may even be better. Please let me introduce …Asda’s The Real Yorkshire Pudding Co. Vegan Toad in the Hole

This might not be exactly what you’re looking for but I’m much happier knowing it exists.

OK, I know we agreed we aren’t making our own vegan Yorkshire puddings this time but maybe a comprise can be made? What about a vegan Yorkshire pudding mix? 

RainbowSweetsVegan makes an amazing vegan Yorkshire pudding mix that is easy to use, you just need to add soya milk, mix and pop in the oven. – Vegan Yorkshire Pudding Mix – Rainbow Sweet Vegan

This one is pretty easy to get our hands on, there’s a Holland and Barrett on most high streets in England. They sell Free and Easy’s vegan Yorkshire pudding mix. But just check that they have it available in stock in your local store before you head over. 

Ella’s online shop is mainly about her vegan Yorkshire pudding mix but she also sells other vegan mixes too. – Ella’s Yorkshire Pudding Mix

Every time you buy something from her a donation goes to a worldwide animal charity – pretty great!

Another cool thing about these vegan Yorkshire puddings is that you can not only get regular ones, there are loads of flavours available such as cheese & chives and sage & onion. Check them all out and get ordering. 

From all my research, they seem to be the best options to get your hands on some vegan Yorkshire puddings.
