Vitaskin Daily Protect SPF 15 Moisturiser – Vitamin A – Review

Here’s another Vitaskin product review but this time I’m reviewing a product from the Vitaskin vitamin A range – Vitaskin Daily Protect SPF 15 Moisturiser.

Yes! Let me start by saying I truly love this product, I usually try not to get over-excited while reviewing products but I really think this is an amazing product!

It’s a daily vegan SPF moisturiser that contains vitamin E and lavender oil. 

Now, I’m going to contradict myself a little here. It’s not my favourite daily moisturiser I’ve ever used, although I do like it a lot. I tend to use a creamier moisturiser every day and this isn’t quite as creamy as I go for. But it’s still good, especially with a few drops of Vitaskin vitamin C oil, but I’ll get into that another time.

So, why is this product so great then? Vitaskin’s daily moisturiser is the first daily vegan moisturiser with SPF I have ever liked. 

When using SPF on my face, there are two problems I usually come across. Either it irritates my skin or my makeup just doesn’t sit nicely on it. Well, with this SPF moisturiser from Vitaskin, neither of these problems exist. 

I have fairly sensitive skin especially when it comes to SPF. My face usually gets a little red and irritated, in particular when sitting in the sun. But with Vitaskin Daily Protect cream my skin feels smoothed and calm.

The other issue is how make-up usually sits on SPF. I find it typically ends up quite patchy, uneven and makes pores more visible. But, once again with Vitaskin Daily Protect SPF 15 Moisturiser, this is not the case at all.

My makeup sits nicely on top of it, I usually put it on and leave it for 5 or 10 minutes then apply my makeup, it feels a little dewier than usual, I have to work the foundation a little more but I actually think it sits really nice after. So, I think I’d go so far as to say not only does it not ruin my makeup, it actually makes it better. 

Yes, if you’re looking for an SPF that is good for sensitive skin and sits nicely under makeup then this product from Vitaskins vitamin A range is excellent.

Now, keep in mind that it’s only SPF 15, so I find it good for daily protection but if you’re going to be sitting out in direct sun you may want a higher SPF for better protection.
