The 4 Best Vegan and Cruelty-Free Mascaras in the UK in 2024
Last updated on December 3rd, 2023
Something I’m always on the lookout for is a new and even better vegan and cruelty-free mascara. What’s the difference between vegan and cruelty-free?
There are constantly new vegan and cruelty-free beauty products becoming available in the UK and I love checking them out.
In the search for the perfect mascara to truly fall in love with I’ve kept my search parameters wide. But I’ve narrowed it down to just a handful of my favourite vegan and cruelty-free mascaras.

The Best Vegan and Cruelty-free Mascaras in the UK:
This Vegan Society-certified mascara from The Body Shop is the one to go for if you’re looking for some extra volume and a curl to your lashes.
It’s made with 89% natural ingredients and because it’s enriched with Fair Trade organic virgin coconut oil it’s extra kind to your lashes This is a long-lasting vegan mascara but comes off easily with makeup remover.

You get what you pay for, and for this reason, it’s the most expensive on the list. It’s the best on the list and one of my all-time favourite mascaras.
The brush has so many tiny bristles that grab every lash to add volume. So it’s a great choice if you’re after a volumising mascara. It lasts all day and night and doesn’t flake or leave me with panda eyes. However, I do seem to be running out quicker than most other mascaras, maybe they put a little less in or maybe I use it more than the others. Either way, Maneater is my favourite vegan and cruelty-free mascara for volumising.
You can order it on Tarte’s website or from Amazon.
3. Lottie London – Superfake Mascara – Ultra Lengthening Vegan Mascara
This Mascara by Lottie London is an incredible choice when it comes to vegan and cruelty-free mascara. Lottie London’s Ultra-lengthening superfake mascara does pretty much what its name says. It lengthens each lash to give an almost fake lashes look and it lasts up to 12 hours.

This E.L.F Mascara wins the top prize for vegan and cruelty-free mascara on a budget. This vegan mascara from Boots was only £6 and it actually does a good job. Yes, I’m not going to lie and say it’s the best mascara I’ve ever used but ELF is a completely vegan and cruelty-free brand, the price is great and the mascara looks good. I usually like to use this when I’m having a light make-up day so it just gives my eyes a little extra pop.
You can order it online at Boots – Elf Lash it Loud.
