Looking for the Best Cruelty-free and Vegan Candles in the UK?

Good, because whether you’re after luxury vegan candles, cruelty-free scented candles or simply the best vegan candles UK, I’ve found the best places to get exactly the vegan candle you’re looking for!

Are Candles Vegan?

Maybe you already know or maybe this is news to you but most normal candles aren’t vegan-friendly.

So, if you pick up a candle in your local homeware store it’s most likely not vegan-friendly. But don’t worry I’m going to help you find some vegan and cruelty-free candles that are kinder to the planet.

Please note that this page contains affiliate links. While I only recommend products that I believe in, I may benefit financially, at no extra cost to you, from any purchases you make.

Why aren’t candles usually vegan?

There can be a number of reasons why candles aren’t vegan-friendly, but probably the most common reason is that they are usually made using stearic. Stearic acid is often found in various animal fats.

During the production process, stearic is used to harden the candle and it can also allow the colour to be added.

Anyway, I’m guessing you’re not here for the science behind how candles are made., which is good, because I’m no scientist. You probably just want to know what vegan and cruelty-free candles you can buy in the UK to make your home a little cosier or to make the perfect gift for a loved one.

So, I’ve put together a little list of candles that work for different budgets and occasions, let’s get started…
