The Best Four Spots for Vegan Tom Yum in Bangkok in 2024 – Local Vegan Delights

Vegan Tom Yum Soup in Bangkok

Last updated on January 23rd, 2024

As someone who’s been embracing vegan travel at every possible opportunity, I’ve had my fair share of local vegan delights. But nothing quite hits the spot like a good bowl of Tom Yum. This Thai classic, traditionally a hot and sour soup, has undergone a plant-based makeover in some vegan-friendly Bangkok eateries, and I’m here to share my top picks for Vegan Tom Yum in Bangkok in 2024

First, let’s talk a bit about Tom Yum. It’s a staple in Thai cuisine, known for its bold, spicy, and sour flavours. The soup typically features shrimp or chicken, but vegan versions swap these out with tofu and loads of veggies, and if done right, it doesn’t have to miss out on the authentic Thai flavours. It doesn’t always happen but I love when a vegan variation still manages to capture the perfect harmony of lemongrass, galangal, kaffir lime leaves, and fiery chillies.
